OF THE IvARIOI BUN. TO FORESTRY DEPARTMENT A Karioi farmer who is ou a- visit to Wanganui, states that it is reported' in that district that the veil known Karioi Bun, of 30,000 . acres, Jias been sold to the Forestry Department for the purposes of afforestation. The farmer states (says the Herald) that fully half of this run is good agricultural land,, and if it is the intention to plant trees it would be/ 3 , pity to waste :«t for that purpose. By top dressing this land would’ grow excellent turnips. Clover also grows in abundance when the land is top-dress-ed. > '-'.//
