Connors farm /at Raorika, 15 miles up the Wanganui river, were suffering from headaches, .'They looked round lor medicine, mid found powders in an old waistcoat pocket. This they agreed was wlia'l they wanted, Ihu if turned out to be strychnine. One mail, William Davis, a ; widower, with two children' succumbed within' a minute, and 5 the other, Thomas' McGuire, is in hospital! His condition is not considered dangerous.
