. HER MOTHER ROBBED. New,-.York. Lady Diana Duff-Cooper, slipped and sprained he r ankle while playing tho part of the nun in “The Miracle” at Boston. She was leaving the stage after the first scene to find an official, to provide a seat for her mother, the Duchess of Rutland, when she fell. Her ankle was bandaged, and although suffering much pain she continued to play her role throughout the evening. The Duchess arrived in Boston before the performance. When the news of fheir identity spread a large crowd gathered on the platform. During the greetings to the Duchess of Rutland a porter placed her bag on the platform. It was stolen and tlie thief escaped. Pickpockets also robbed Miss Tree and Miss Ladd of a considerable sum of money.
