There wore 35 cases o( typhoid here, of which three died and five others are still in a serious stateThe cases were traced to Mrs MargYiret Benge, 80. years ol age, a typhoid carrier. The State Health Commissioner ’declares that last month old Margaret cooked a squash taken Irom her garden, and everyone who ate of (hi?; dish caught the disease in a mnligant form. Mrs Benge had typhoid when she was in' her sixties. A year ago she was recognised as a carrier, and then agreed tom void handling other people’s food. She also promised not to mingle with people outside her own home.
