TVTOTICE is hereby given That in JLi pursuance and exercise of the powers invested in it in that beliall by the Counties’ Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other powers and Act, if any, enabling it so to do, the Orona County Council hereby resolves:— 1. —That the Council do raise Special Loan of £7OO lor the purpose of providing the balance ol the Council’s share of the cost ol improving the Manawatu Gorge Road. 2. -That Loan be for a period of twenty years. 3. —That/ the rate of interest on .such Loan be a .rate not exceeding six pounds per centum per annum. 4. —That the security for such Loan be a .special annual recurring rate of 1/160th of a penny- in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis o( the capital value) of all rateable property within the County ■ of Orona, and that, such rate be payable yearly on the Ist day ol April in each year during the. currency of such loan, r>. OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL, ‘/VTOTIOE is hereby given that .in exercise of the powers conferred .on, it by 'Section 23 ol “The Counties' Act, 1920,” the Orona County Council resolves by way of Special Order as follows: 1. —The present division of the County of Orona into seven Ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said County shall be ' divided into two Ridings to be called respectively the Eastern Riding and the Riding, which said Ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto. 2. The said Orona County Council shall consist of seven (7) members who- shall be elected as follows:••••fa) • The electors of the Eastern Hiding shall elect tlirep (3) Councillors. /•(b) The electors of the Western Riding shall elect four (4) Councillors. 3. The alteration hereby' made shall take effect on a date to be fixed in that behalf by the Minister of Internal Affairs and notified in tlte. Gazette. SCHEDULE. (a) The Eastern Riding hereinbefore referred to shall include, all that portion of the Orona County as at present existing lying generally to the South-east of the . Orona River, the said River I mailing the boundary between the said - Eastern Riding and the 'Western Riding lie rein after described. .(b) .-The Western Riding hereinbefore referred to shall incllide all that portion of the Orona County as at present existing, lying generally to the North-west of the Orona River, the said River forming the boundary between i.lie said Western Riding and the Eastern Riding hereinbefore described.
