Table Association) , Sydney, JulyGeorge Wheeler, secretary of Hie Help for , Consumptives Art Union, has been sentenced to three months imprisonment on the charge of stealing 14,000 tickets, the property of the committee. The police gave evidence that the accused admitted he put the butt.-, of these tickets in the barrel, -nd hey were drawn, securing prizes to the value of several hundreds of pounds. The polio found 21,000 tickts which had been sold to the public large numbers of 'the butts of which had been burned. These therefore had not a chance in the draw. The Attorney-General is considering the question of redrawing the art union.
