Air Ernest Alander concluded the Logic- series at the W.E.A. meeting lasp night and continued his studies of “Outstanding Figures in History,” Air A. Williamson being In the chair.
The tutor gave a very' graphic and illuminating study of the life, influence, and work of Charles Darwin, author of “The Origin of Species” and creator of the modern impetus in the study of evolution. Throughout his long life, 40 years of which was a period of poor health, the great investigator was always the patient student of nature, and he did a vast amount of research in the realm of botany. Bismarck of Germany will he the subject of next week’s study. e
