MR CORRIGAN'S MISTAKES

With reference to the allegations made by Mr.J. .11. Corrigan in the Mouse as id the holding of land neat Etc new Ranui railway station, between Henderson and Swanson, some of Sir James Parr's constituents' that, the Minister does not hold, no) is he directly or indirectly interested in land in Iho vicinity of .Ranui station. A new station at Aiglm t\as built about a year ago.' A family named Parr, with no connection with the Minister, lived close to iho station, and had res.(led in the district ior fifty years. The member tor Paica had contused the W aikumete family of Parr with the member for Eden. Two years ago the Swanson Ratepayers’ Association was instrumental in tho purchase of a scenic reserve of a block hi 23 acres of native bush within a mile ot the Ranui station .and thy resene has been named Parr Park. Tho .association has written to the Prime Minister, asking tor a. thorough im estimation of Mr Corrigan's charges, as their absolute inaccuracy and injustice demand Dominion-wile publicity. . '
