LIBEL AND WIRELESS
London, April 7. A question agitating legal minds is whether a. wireless company is legally responsible lor circularising a.u uiilounded report, despite the fact that a correction is promptly broadcast. In the news bulletin, on Saturday, it was stated that Cyril Tolley, the well known amateur golfer, had been divuved in America. Tolley immediately telephoned from Birmingham saying that he was not married. Investigation showed that the mistake arose through the confusion of his identity witTf that of Cyril William Tolley, a Canadian golfer. Apparently wireless laws will have to be passed to eopo with new situations arising in this; wireless age.
