DOMINION- EXEOUTT VE MR DEAN RE-ELECTED CHAIRMAN , j Wellington, May 1. The ncwly-elocted management committee of the. New Zealand Rugby Union held its first meeting to-day, those present being: Messrs S. S. Dean, 'E. M'.Kenzie, W. F. Hornig,/r. A. Fletcher, A. C. Kitto, 11. S. Loitli, and W. T. Pa vat a- (honorary member). Mr S. S. Dean was re-elected to the chair. The committee agreed to assist South Canterbury, Hawke’s Bay, and Wairarapa in making tours to the West Coast, from which quarter a special demand was made for the visits of teams this season. It was also agreed to give support to Auckland in making a visit to Gisborne.

NEW ZEALAND SELECTORS

Consideration was given by the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union at a meeting this morning to the question of selecting Hi is year’s’New Zealand teams. A decision was made that the duties should bo undertaken by a committee of five. Those to comprise the selection committee were appointed as follows: Messrs E. M’Kenzio (Wairarapa), N. M'Kcnzie (Hawke’s Ray) A. Guy Taranaki), IT. E. Davis (Canterbury), and A. ,T. Geddos (Southland). All five were members of last year’s New Zealand selection hcommittce of seven. MAORI MATCH TN WELLING* TON The annual match between representative Maori teams for the To Mori Rose Bowl is to'he’played in "Wellington this year. A decision to this effect was made by the N.Z.R.U.
