CANADA AND AMERICA TAKE JOINT ACTION (By Electrio Cable.—Copyright). (Aust. and JL2- <-:atue ajjaoeiatiou). Ottawa, Aug. 20. A telegram from Winnipeg, Manitoba, says: In an effort to curb liquor smuggling from Manitoba to the United States a joint Canadian and United States border patrol swings into action on September 1. The Canadian section will survey all possible sources of supply in Canada, working in sharp co-operation with the United States Federal and StaLe authorities.
