Increased competition for homeward cargoes during- the forthcoming wool season is promised by an announcement by three Japanese shipping lines of their intentions to conduct a monthly cargo service troin Australian ports to the United Kingdom via Apia (Samoa) and Pannania in opposition to the Knropoan. British, and Australian lines at present operating. The first vessel, the Belfast M.aru, sails at the end of next September.
