Several small parcels of fleece wool were in evidence, hut not in suili'eiont quantity to warrant special atention. N.Z. FARMERS’ CO-OP. REPORT, (By Telegraph- Special to Star). Wellington, Aug. 22. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co, report that the second cmtrhihg sale, which marks the termination of the 1924-24 wool season was held in Wellington yesterday. Our catalogue comprised 31 o hales consisting mainly of enitehings. Thun* was the usual number of buyers i" attendance and competition was fairly keen, although realisations wen* hardly up to, those ruling at th«* erutehing sale held in June last. Belter sorts were fully a. penny dow«. and in some eases more. But th** average erutehing free from see/* s howed very little change. Any lot® carrying seed were hard to quit, and were mostly passed in. The market for crutchings throughout the whole sale was exceedingly Regular. The following are some of our hes* prices: JH/Beaumont, enitehings. 13d; PA/Hiwi, enitehings, 12i*d’ GML/Tiriroa, 13-Jd ; Lochabef, crunchings!, 12d ; 311/Beaumont, S.D crutchings, llfd; Eli A, pieces oud dead, 13d; RPL ernitcbiiigs and dead, 12d.

Dnlgety ami Co. report: .At the second crutching sale, wo oii'ored 606 bales, 90 per cent, being sold under the hammer. Ibices generally l'o>all qualities of crntehings receded. *>;: eohipared with last sale, Id to lid per lb. Fleece wool maintained late, rates. Crntehings generally were in heavier condition than in July. The principal operators were Japanese and Australian, buyers being only interested in lower sorts. Lambs’ wool commanded keen competition at late sale rates. .Slipe wools, of which we offered 100 bales, were keenly competed for, Australian and Japanese operators being the chief operators. The rates paid, when compared with London prices were most satisfaettory.

There was a good demand from local scourers for locks, bellies and pieces at last sale prices.
