FEILDING STOCK SALE

A GENERAL I AfPROVRArENT. At the Keihling stock sale to-day, prices showed a general improvement on last week’s rates, and a' better quality in cattle and sheep lines. There was a large yarding of cattle, showing good quality, principally young stock. The latter lines were sold later in the, sale, and prices were not obtainable at time of going to press. A line of SO heifers, a I a rge number of good quality, brought from £8 to £9 10s. Afcdiurn quality dairy cows brought to £7 10s and a better line to £l3 10s. The general tone for cattle was good and improving. In the fat pens, there was a good yarding and a good demand at better rates. Fat heifers brought to £6 2s 6d, bullocks to £8 and calves to £5 16s. There was a. good yarding of sheep, principally hoggets. A dragging sale commenced but brightened as better lines were brought under the hammer. Ewe lambs sold from 28s to 29s fxl, wet.tier hoggets from 24s to 2Ss. medium fat ewes 26s- to 295, fat wethers to 395, fat lambs 24s to 26?, empty ewes to 17$ 6d.
