Kerrigan, asking that some work bo done to watercourse on Ulysses road, and offering to meet Council in the. matter.. \ ENGINEER'S REPORT. ■ Mangaone Riding.—The contract for. the supply of gravel in this riding,, which, was held up by .the. wet •weather, has again been resumed. The decking of ,thc bridge over the Rangitawa stream on the Kakariki road is very thin and requires renewing* • ... , ' Raumanga Riding. —Little work has been done in this rjding. Watertables on A.rapata road are .in had order, but the roadman with addi : tional labour is at present attending to them. ' Makiho Riding.—Makino and Kimbolton roads have been repaired with gravel, and the latter road has been trimmed with the grader. The road from iHitchman's corner to Menzios' bridge and Forlong's road from the Kiwi tea stream to I\imholton, road have also been repaired. The trucks are to make a start to day at tho.work,of repairing Mangaonm road. .. Taonui Riding.—Stumps have been removed from tho Taonui road from Reid's Line to Colyton; gravel repairs have also been effected to this road, and also Spur road. I "have arranged to obtain gravel for Reid's Lino and Aorangi road from the Orona river at the end of Reid's Jiino. The drain along' Nannestad's road has been cleaned out, and a further dump of gravel has been carried out at Runnythorpo. '. Hiwinui Riding.—Gravel repairs havo been, effected .on Ulysses and Siberia roads, and a portion of Spur road. Tho Palmerston-Ashhurst road has been trimmed with the grader, The new metal on Greenhow's road lias been raked in and. the work of rolling it-is now proceeding. Otangaki Riding.—Pohangina road has been patched with gravel and trimmed with tho grader. Palmerston road has also received similar attention and is now. in good order. Ulysses road, Feiiding road, and the old Napier road have also been repaired. Gravel has been carted to the dump afc Gorge bridge for repairing the Feilding-Ashhtirst and Bunnythorpe-Ashhurst roads.
