TERRIBLE REVENGE

The trial is proceeding of Thomas Mitchell, a youth of 16 years, on a charge of murdering Richard Pcthybridgv by -whom accused was employed on. a farm near C'osowa. Medical evidence showed that Pethybridgu died from arsenical poisoning. Accused made a .statement in the witness box that on the day of the tragedy deceased knocked him down and, after tying his hand-, and feet, assaulted him. When released, the accussed rushed for a weapon, but seeing the poison thought it better to finish a man like Pethybridgo, so he took a teaspoouful which he put in Rethybridge's cup of tea. Pethyhridge drank jt and soon after was seized with convulsions and died.
