KING CAUSES SENSATION. (By Electric Cable—Copyright). (Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.; Athens, March 24. Ex-King George caused consternation among members of the Cabinet by point-blank refusal to abdicate until a plebiscite indicates the popular will in favour thereof. The Royalists are convinced, that an untrammelled vote will give a large majority fyi lavour of the monarchy. Republicans themselves do not expect a majority, Nevertheless, the Premier is arranging immediately for the proclamation of the Republic.
