LEVIN’S REPORT. Levin and Co. report on their stock sales for week ending July 28, 1923: At Rongotea on Wednesday a heavy yarding of cattle, chiefly dairy stock, camo forward. Competition was very dull and prices low. On account of P. W. Dixon, guaranteed Jeisey cows ,-£ll 10s, £lO 55,, 3 at £10; springing S.H., 2nd calverg, 3 at £5; other dairy cows 20s, £2 10s, £3 5s to £5; good fat cows £4; empty cows 15s, 20s ,22s 6d, 235; forward steers £2 15s; cull empty cows £4 6s. At Feilding on Friday, we had a fair entry of botli sheep and cattle. Fat sheep wero in good demand and sold freely, while lioggete wore keenly sought after at prices in advance of recent quotations. The breeding owes yarded were of medium quality and brought little competition. A very heavy yarding of dairy stock mot with a dragging sale. Stores and fats sold at late rates. _ Irime fat wethers 60 at 36s 7d ; medium fat wethers 28 at 34s Id ; prime fat ewes 14 at 30s 6d, 8 at 27s Od; light fat ewes 22 at 245; fair Romney wether hoggets 50 at 23s 3d; B.F. hoggets 28 at 16s; small Jersey springing 2vear heifers £6; 2-ycnr S.H. heifers £i) ss. £6 10s, £6, £3 10s; Jersey •2nd cal vers £8; dairy cows £8; light fat cows 25s to £5; f. and f. cows 3ls fo 395.
