INFUUENZA
PREVALENT ON THE WEST
COAST
(Per Press Association)
Westport, July 29
Although Westport is experiencing a spoil of fine weather, influenza is still very prevalent. Denniston was unable to-put its senior football team in the field on Saturday owing to most of its me tubers being down with the epidemic. In some cases whole families are affected more or less severely. Mrs Tulloch, wife of the harbourmaster, was removed to the hospital on Thursday suffering from influenza in a severe form, and passed away last evening. This makes the third death in the TuTloch family in 12 months —Mrs Tulloch’s father, a married daughter, and now Mrs lullooh. A daughter was to have played in the inter-island hockey match at Wellington on Saturday, but was down with influenza.
