CONFERENCE WITH AHNISTER. (Per Press Asr^eiation.) Wellington, May 19. The conditions of labourers ill the employ of the Public Works Department will bo reviewed at a conference to bo held between the Minister of Public Works (Hon. J. G. Coates), officers of the Department, and representatives of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, on June 21. The possibility of employees obtaining increases in wages will be discussed, as well as improvements in the working conditions, which aro wanted by the men.
