WANGANUI WOOL SALE. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, May 18. The third Wanganui wool sale was held this evening, when 7500 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of buyers, representing Bradford, America, #he Continent, and Japan. Bidding was keen, and distinctly improved prices ruled. Medium crossbred averaged from a penny to twopence higher, inferior a penny to a penny halfpenny, coarse- crossbred three-furthings to a penny, inferior a halfpenny to three-farthings, and low crossbred a penny to a penny farthing. Lambs' wool (Southdown) showed an* increase of 2Jd, and medium 2d. The range was: Southdown laid to lGd, medium crossbred, 44'16's, average 7d to 83d; inferior, 3d to 6'Jd; coarse crossbred, 40/44's, average Gd to 7\d ; inferior, 4d to j sid ;■ low-conditioned, 36/40's, average 5d to 6-Jd; inferior, 3d to 4Jd; lambs, Southdown, lid to 12d; fine, 8d to 9Jd ; medium, 8d to Bijd; seedy, 2d ,to sd; bellies and pieces, good to I super. 3d to 4d; low to medium, IJd Jto 3Jd; crutcliings, medium to good, 3d to 4}d: inferior, lsd to 2}d; locks, Ijd to 2Jd.
