ILLICIT STILL.
CHARGE AGAINST MURCHISON SETTLER. (Per Prc&s Association.) Nelson, May 18. At the Murchison Police Court this morning, before Mr J Bredbury, J.P., Thomas Henry Badust was charged that on Mav 14, at Gowan Valley, there was found in his possession an illicit still, suitable for the purpose of manufacturing whisky. Inspector Matheson conducted tho case. After Constable Robertson had given evidence ho asked for a remand to the 27th May. Lonart Englebert-Hill offered to'be surety for Badust. Tho Court adjourned the case till the 27th inst. Accused was granted bail of £'soo, and Hill's bond was also fixed at £SOO.
