WANGANUI WOOL SALES.

THE N.Z. FARMERS' CO.-OP. The N.Z. Farmers' Co.-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report as under: —• We held our third sale of tho season "at Wanganui on the 18th inst, when wo submitted a catalogue comprising some 550 bales, consisting mainly of fair avorage Wanganui district wools. There was a good attendance of buyers, representing Bradford, America, the Continent, and Japan. Competition commenced and remained .spirited aud animated throughout the entire series, and a fairly considerable advance has to be recorded on all lots showing quality and freedom from seed, etc. Seedy and inferior lots were not in such good demand, and sold at from par to slightly in excess of last sale. Pieces and scouring wools felt the influence of the improved demand and sold at enhanced values. It is to be hoped that the improvement in values generally as instanced by results of this sale will bo maintained, and tho present healthy outlook fully assured. We topped the sale with a line of halfbred Southdown branded Maru, which brought the excellent price of 16Jd under the hammer. •-..
