WAGE REDUCTION
OPPOSED BY SYDNEY UNIONS. (By Electric Cable—Copyright.) (Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.) Sydney, May 14. A meeting of engineers carried a motion resisting any reduction in wages or increase in hours, and undertaking to act in conjunction with all other unions in an endeavour to combat any lowering the standard of living. All the union leaders will meet on Monday to discuss tho new wages.
