JACOBISENTENCED TO DEATH. .By Electric Telegraph.--Copyright.-] (Aust.-N.» Cable Association. ■* London, April 29. x At the Old Bailey, the jury found Jacobi guilty of the murder of Lady White, adding a strong recommendation to mercy on the ground that they did not believe ho entered the bedroom intending to kill. Mr Justice McCardoll passed the death sentence, and forwarded the recommendation to the Home Secretary. [Lady White, the widow, of a general, was sleeping in a big London hotel. Jacobi entered her room in mistake for another, the occupant of which he intended to rob. Lady White awoke, and Jacobi, one of the hotel staff, fearing an alarm would be raised, .killed her by a blow on the head.]
