POSTMASTER ASSAULTED.

KEYS' TAKEN AND OFFICE ROBBED. Mr Spcncor Colbrain, postmaster at Scarborough, according to a story he told the police, had a sensational experience on Friday night. He was returning home when he was attacked and stunned by two men, bound and gaggod and carried into the bush, where he was beaten unconscious. When ho regained his senses at midnight and managed to release himself he found tho keys of the Post .Office missing from his pocket. Ho reached tho Police Station still gagged and partially bound. A visit to tho Post Office disclosed the fact that the safe had been ransacked and £l4O taken. There is no clue to the identity of the robbers.
