In connection with the South African Medical Research Institute, Sir Spencer Lister has succeeded in curing two cases of sleeping sickness. The victims were soldiers who served in the East African campaign. The treatment Avas drastic and prolonged, consisting of serum injections. SENSATIONS IN EXPLORING. London, Nov. 20. Mr John Roscoe, a prominent scientist, has returned from a journey to the little-known portions of East Africa, made at the instance of the, Royal Society and the Government.
