CONDITIONS FOR MINERS

Under the terms of the settement of the strike, the miners received the 2s extra from the resumption of work to the Christmas holidays. The new scale operating from January 3 will be a sliding scale. If the output to Christmas reaches the average output of tho July-September quarter, the rise will be Is pel' ton over the existing rates.
