TWO YOUNG MEN IN TROUBLE

FINED FOE,ASSAULT,

Indulgence in drink yesterday helped to land two young men—Claude Sargent and William Whittaker—in the, lock-up. They Avere before the Court this morning, and pleaded guilty through their solicitor, Mr 0. Taylor, to the 'charges preferred against them. ' , Sargent was charged with wilfully breaking a. marble slab in. Gambitsis' fish shop, thereby doing damage to the extent of £4 19s 6d. He was further charged with assaulting young Ganibitsis, and also with assaulting, Constable Lake while tho latter wast in the execution of his duty. In regard to the last charge.
