THE SHAH SLEEPS THROUGH A TRAIN WRECK.
DIAMOND BRINGS BAD LUCK— FOR OTHERS. . Milan. The Shah of Persia was travelling incognito in a special car attached to the Rome-Paris express on Saturday night, when, owing to a pointsman's mistake, the train was diverted to the wrong line near Genoa, and came'in collision with a goods train. _ Three passengers were killed and 15 injured. The Shah Avas sleeping so soundly that he did not notice the shock. Ho was taken back to Genoa by motor car. Some superstitious passengers noted that he was wearing a famous diamond which is supposed to bring bad luck.
