London, November 5. The Press Bureau reports that the following are the armistice conditions with Austria-Hungary: —

MILITARY CLAUSES

1. Immediate cessation of hostilities by land, sea and air. 2. Total demobilisation of the Aus-tro-Hungarian army and the immediate AvitlidraAval of all Austr.-Hungar-ian forces operating on the front from the North Sea to Switzerland. Within Austro-Hungurian territory, limited as in Clause 3 below, there shall only be maintained as an organised military force a maximum of twenty divisions jeduced to their pretvar peace effectives. Half of the divisional corps and army equipment shall be collected at points to be indicated by the Allies and the United States of America for delivery to them, beginning ivith all such material as exists in the territories to be evacuated.

3. Evacuation of all territories invaded by Austria-Hungary since the beginning of the Avar and the withdrawal, Avithin such-periods as may be determined by the Commander-in-Chief of the Allied forces on each front, of the Austro-Hungarian armies behind a line fixed as follows:-— From Pizumbrail to north of St.

1 Elvio it Avill folloAv the crest.of the Rhetian Alps to the sources of the Adige and Eisach, passing then by Mounts Reschen and Brenner and the heights of Oetz and Ziller. The line then turns south, crossing Mount Toblach and meeting the present frontier of the Carnic Alps. It folloAvs this frontier to Mount Tarvis and, after Tarvis, the watershed of the Julian Alps by Col Predil, Mount Mangar t, the Tricorno and the watershed of Cols to Podberdo, Podlaniscam and Idria. From this point the line turns south-east towards Schneeberg it descends towards the coast in such a way as to include Castua, Mattaglia and Volosca in the evacuated territories. It also follows the administrative limits of the present province of Dalmatia, including to the north Licarica and Trivania, and to the south the territory limited by a line from the shore of Capo Planca to the summits of the ivatershed eastwards, so as to include in the evacuated area all valleys and watercourses flowing towards Sebeneco, such as the Cicola, Kerka, Butianica and tributaries. It will also include all islands north and ivest of Dalmatia from Premuda, Selve, Ulboi, Scherda, Maon,,Pago and Pata'dura up to Meieda in tho south, embracing Santandraa, Busi, Lissa, Lesina, Tercola, Curzola, Cazza, Lagosta, and Pelaonly excepting the islands Great and Small Zirona, Beta, Solta, and Brazza. All the territories thus evacuated shall be occupied by the troops of the Allies and the United States. All military and railway .equipment, including coal, within these territories to be left in situ and [surrendered to the Allies according to special orders by the Commander-in-Chief of the Forceß of the Associated Powers on the different fronts. No neiv destruction, pillage, or requisition shall be done by enemy troops in territories to be evacuated and occupied by the Associated Pow-. ers. ;

4. Tho Allies to be entitled to free movement over all roads, railways, and waterways in Austro-Hungarian territory and to use, if necessary, Austro-Hungarian means of trans-, portation. The armies of the" Associated Poivers shall occupy such strategic points in Austria-Hungaria and at such times as they deem necessary for the conduct of military' operations or the maintenance of order. They shall have the right of requisition on payment for the troops of the Associated Poivers, wherever they may be.

5. Complete evacuation of all German troops within fifteen days from the Italian and Balkan fronts, also from all Austro-Hungarian territory* and the internment of all German troops which have not left AustroHungary within that date.

6. The administration of the evacuated territories of Austria-Hungary shall be entrusted to local authorities under the control of the armies of occupation.

7. Immediate repatriation without reciprocity of all Allied prisoners of Avar, interned subjects and civil populations evacuated from their homes on conditions to be laid down by the Commander-in-Chief of the' Associated Powers on the various fronts.

8. Sick and wounded who canno - be removed from the' evacuated terri tory ivill be cared for by the Austro Hungarian personnel who will be lefi on the spot with the medical materi al required.

NAVAL CONDITIONS

1. Immediate cessation of all hostilities at sea. Definite information shall be given concerning tho location and movements of all AustroHungarian ships. Notification shall be made to neutrals that freedom oi navigation in all territorial waters is given to the naval and mercantile marines of the Associated Powers, all questions of neltrality being ivaived. 2. Surrender to the Allies and the United States of fifteen Austro-Hun-garian submarines completed between 1910 and 1918 and of all German submarines noAv in or hereafter entering Austro-Hungarian territorial Avaters. AH other Austro-Hungarian submarines shall be paid off, completely disarmed and remain under the supervision of the Allies and America. 3. Surrender to the Allies and the United States with complete armament and equipment of three battleships, three light cruisers, nine destroyers, twelve torpedo boata, one mme-layer, and six Danube monitors to be designated by the Allies _.n_ America, and shall be paid off, completely disarmed, and placed under the supervision of the Allies and America.

4. Freedom of navigation to all warships and merchant ships of the Allied and Associated Powers shall be given in the Adriatic and up the Danube and territories, in territorial waters and territory of Austria-Hun-gary. The Allies and Associated Powers shall be entitled to sweep up all minefields an_ obstructions and the positions of these must be indicated. In order to ensure freedom of navigation on the Danube, the Allies and the United States are empowered to occupy or dismantle all fortifications and defence works. 5. The existing blockade conditions established by the Allies and Associated Poivers shall remain unchanged. All Austro-Hungarian merchant ships found at sea remain liable to capture, save exceptions which may be made by a commission nominated by the Allies and the United States. 6. All naval aircraft shall be concentrated and immobilised in AustroHungarian bases designated by the Allies and the United States. 7. Evacuation of all Italian coast? and ports occupied by Austria-Hun-gary outside their national territory and the abandonment of all floating craft, naval materials, equipment and materials for inland purposes cf all kinds.

8. The Allies and the United States shall occupy the land and sea fortifications and the islands forming the defences, dockyards and arsenal of Pola. 9. Austria-Hungary shall return all merchant vessels belonging (o the Mlies nnd Associated Poavovs. 10. No destruction of -ships or mn--1 .ials shall be permitted before evaluation, surrender, or restoration. _ 11. All naval and mercantile ma-' -me prisoners of war of the Allio-i md Associated' Powers in AustroHungarian hands shall bo returned -rithont reciprocity.
