Wellington, Nov. 9. The High Commissioner cabled from London at 5.50 p.m. yesterday : The German plenipotentiaries received the armistice conditions on Friday morning. They must be accepted or refused Avithin 72 hours.

A German proposal for an immediate provisional suspension of hostilities was rejected by Marshal Foch.

A courier has proceeded to Spa (AA*herc the Kaiser is waiting) with the armistice conditions.

The German delegation for the conclusion of an armistice consists of Erzeberger, Count Oderndorf (formerly Ambasador at Sofia), and Generals yon Guendell and yon Winterfeld.

FOCH SAYS THERE WILL BE NO COMPROMISE

* The State Department announces that the German armistice delegates conferred with Marshal Foch at the latter's headquarters at 9 o'clock on Friday morning (Paris time).

It was found necessary to refer the armistice terms to Berlin, aud 72 hours vail be allowed for this, purpose.

It is definitely stated that Marshal Foch notified the peace delegation that it would be given 72 hours in which to reach a decision. He said that no compromise was possible. Germany must surrender or not.
