Sydney, like New York nnd Feilding, had a delirious day ycslerdav celebrating the peace that is inevitable. The Mayor of Sydney issued a proclamation asking the people to restrain themselves until the iioa.-b is received. This appeal Avas inell'ective. Auckland was delirious. In the Hou.sc yesterday,' Premier Massey said he regretted exceedingly that the peace report had been published, causing inconvenience and disappointment throughout the Dominion. Steps had been taken to prevent the same sort of thing occurring again. The public AA'Ould be notified of the real thing by gunfire in ..the main centres.
