DISCOVERIES IN LILLE
London, October 25. Writing after the entry into Lille a correspondent says : —
Whilst the Germans always behaved brutishly, they levied total contributions amounting to £10,000,----000. Impossible fines were iriflicted_ on the merest pretext. They thieved systematically, and left the industrial quarters in absolute ruins.
