THE ALLIED CONFERENCE
LLOYD GEORGE MAKES A STATEMENT.
London, Nov. 5. Premier Lloyd George, who had an enthusiastic reception in the House of Commons on his return from Paris, made a statement regarding the Versailles Conference, where the Czecho-Slovaks were also presented. The first matter dealt with was the elimination of Turkey, giving the Allies the comimuid of the Black Sea, which was of the greatest importance. He was unable to give the House detailed information regarding the complete agreement which the Al!io:.' had reached upon the German armistice. These conclusions had, been transmitted to President Wilson, with a request that ho should intimate to Germany, that if she wished to know the conditions of the armistice- she should make application to Marshal Eoch, in the usual military form. (Loud cheers.) A British naval representative would be associated with Marshal. FocH if such application were made. Whatever Germany's reply might be the Allies awaited the issue in perfect confidence. (Cheers.) The Premier congratulated the Czecho-Slovaks and Jugo"Slavs who had thrown off the oppressors' yoke. These little nations which had stood out in such heroism against Germanic dominance, could rest assured that the Allies would" come to their aid as fast as' possible.
