WAKING UP AT LAST.

(Received beptem'oer 8. 1.30 p.m.) Petrograd, September 7. The Government is placing the military district of I'ctrugrad entirely in General Kornilolf's hands. The Government has appointed a special Administrative Committee, invested with full powers ;to deal with all urgent matters and will, be superior to all civil authority. This Committee is to devote its attention to the establishment of order and the suppression of any counter revolutionary agitatio. The Socialist newspapers are _ now urging the whole nation to maintain the defence of the country. The workers' organs also strenuously appeal to their supporters to rally to work, and use their hardest efforts in the factories, loyally submitting to all orders to save- the country and to safeguard the revolution.
