N.Z.L. & M.A. CO. WEEKLY REPORT.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agdtaey Co. report for week ending Sept. 8: Sales have been held during the week at Kimbolton, Palmerston, and Feilding, and clearing sales on account of Mr J. G. Shaipo, at Halcombe, and Mi- \V. ; C. V. Pearce, ,at Rangiotu. On Monday we held a sale of dairy stock on account of Mr W. V. B. Pearce, Rangiotu. Notwithstanding the inclement weather, there was a very large attendance —buyers being pi esent from Waikato, Taranaki, Masteiton, and local districts. Competition was brisk throughout, and thu whole herd of 205 head sold at satisfactory prices: 8L cows in milk ayeiaged £8 18s Bd, selling from hi to £10; 71 springing cows averaged f,\Y 10s, best prices being £14 10s, £lo 10s £15 15s, £10 55," £18 10s; 45 hellers'in calf (some small and backward) averaged M 2s Ud, making from £5 to £11 10s; 2 and 3-year Holstein bulls £10, £10 15s, -fill 5s 2-year S 11. bulls £14 10s, £15, £10 oh, 4ycar S.H. bull £13 10s. * At Kimbolton, on Wednesday, we had a small entry, the bulk of which was disposed of: Cull ewes 14s, small hoy gets 17s 6d, medium hoggets 22s to '24s 6d, 15-months heifers £5 12s Gd, yearling steers £6 10s. At Palmerston on Thursday; owing to the rough weather, only a small yarding came forward and sold at late rates: Store cows £6 7s. £7 10s, forward cows £8 2s, £8 10s. cows and calves £8 2s 6d. springing 3-year heifers £10 ss. £12 15s.

At Feilding on Friday we had a fair entry of sheep. Hoggets were again in good demand, and sold freely: Cull ewes 10s fid, forward ewes 25s Gd, medium hoggets 23s 3d, good woolly hoggets 31s Bd, store wethers 32s 6cl, light I'nt wethers 365, light fat ewes 20s 6d. fat ewes 345, heifers iv calf £7, light I'nt cows £1.2 ss. At Mr J. G. Sharpo'K sale on Thursday, there was a good attendance of buyers. Owing to the rough weather tlio sheep did not look at their best and were sold at prices in favour of the purchasers.' LEVIN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Levin and Co. report: During the past Aveek our only sales the usual yard sales at Bulls and Feilding. At Bulls, despite the very rough Aveather, Aye had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. Buyers for sheep Avere present in force, outside districts being Avell represented. Bidding for sheep Avas animated, and with the exception of one lot all lines Aye re sold at auction at prices considerably in advance to those ruling at last sale. The demand for cattle wan also good, and although vendors' reserves Aye re iv some cases on the high side we sold practically the yarding. At Feilding Aye bad a lair entry of both sheep and cattle. In sheep the best lines of hoggets Avere keenly competed for as Aye re fat sheep and forward Avethers. Medium and inferior Avere not in demand. The tone of the cattle market avus exceedingly firm, and we made a total clearance at prices which avcio far in excess of vendors' reserves. Tho toffe of the stock market generally is at present time very him,, and as the spring advances wo anticipate a further hardening in prices, particularly for cattle.
