MISHAP AT AWAHURI.
Mr Jack Maine, a well-known resident of the Awahnri district, was the victim of a peculiar accident at Awahuri on Saturday. He was leading a horse aloni; jt'he road, and had wound the lending fopo round his body. Something .startled the horse and it bolted, the result being tbnt Mr Maino was thrown heavily t<; the ground and rendered insensible. While ho wag lying oti tho road a motor ear approached and the wheels passed right fyyer his body. Ho is now receiving medical attention.
