THRILLS AT THE LYCEUM.

"Gloria's Romance," the eighth instalment of which was screened at the Lyceum last night, is now oovoloping thrillingly. This instalment shows tho meshes of mystery over Kreneau's murder. The Gacztto was all war—on sea and land, and particularly good. There was only one other item on the programme, the five-part Fine Arts star photoplay, "The Wharf Rat," with Mac Marsh playing the name part. She is" a lively tomboy, and keeps the movement going at a gallop. The caste of characters is vory cleverly arranged, the love element is criss-cross, and there is a thrilling rescue of the heroine from a liner by a motor boat- in San Francisco harbour. Enjoyable music was contributed by Miss Harris. "Broken Chains" is the star photoplay underlined for to-morrow night.
