The death is announced of Dr. Boh ring, one of Germany's most celebra ted physicians and the discoverer Oi mti-diphtheria serum. Professor Emil yon Behring, wh< was 63 years old, divided the prize in 1901 with Dr. Roux, and wa. raised to the nobility with the use c. tlio "yon." He retired from the d.icctorship of the Marburg Hygienic Institute last year. It was announced 11 1902 that he had discovered a curt .or consumption, but the hopes engen lercd by the statement were nevci ealised.
