A first offending drunkard, brought before Mr W. G. Haybittle, J.P., this morning, was convicted and discharged. It is reported from Rotorua that a new blowhole has formed about an eighth of a mile from the original geyser at Waimangu, says tho Auckland Star. Tho now vent opened on Monday night, when there was an upheaval of earth and stones followed by an outburst of immense quantities of steam.
