Feilding's green presented an animated appearance on Saturday afternoon, when a challenge rink came up from the Palmorston Club after the Yates feathers and Terrace End sent along four rinks } including a challenge team for the Wishart Feathers. There wero numerous spectators, for visitors also had an interest in tho croquet green, which has proved wonderfully popular with tho ladies in its first season. The croijuet players provided the afternoon tea, for which President Sollitt, of Terrace End, thanked them. and all the bowlers gave them a united volley of cheers. The result of the afternoon's bowling contests was that Tasker failed to take away Lhe coveted Yates feathers, but Jones secured tho Wishart Feathers for Terrace End, which club's contingent was beaten in the aggregate by .'3—B2 lo 71).
