MAHENO MEN.
When tho hospital ship Mabeno returned, tbo Government gave members of tbo staff I ho opportunity oi returning to their civil occupations until called up for active service again. If any of tho staff found difficulty in securing civil positions tho Government offered to provide billets for them in hospitals or camps. Some of tho nurses and orderlies have gone back temporarily to the occupations of civil life. Others aro now serving in convalescent camps or hospitals. The officer commanding, the' Hon. Dr W. ft. Collins, is now acting as P.M.O. of tbo Wellington district. Tho second in command, "Dr Tracy Inglis, is taking charge of tins Awjpuni camp. Dr Speddint; has charge of invalid soldiers, firs Simpson and Me Caw have proceeded to Kngland to obtain further medical degrees, and will join the next hospital ship at Suez. Two ol the chaplains, tlm Revs. Dutton and Segrief, are on duty in military camp**.' The Rev. W. E. Gillam has returned to bis duties as vicar of St. Matthew's Church.
