CASSELL'S ENTERPRISES,
A parcel of three of the latest issues of Oassell's popular magazines, which coinee to us through A. H. Maclean, ehowa how this firm is building up its publications. In the enlarged Christinas lijurnber of The Storyteller the editor has given his readers a great treat in the fine budget of stories. Jerome K. Jerome writes "The Fawn Gloves," Phillips Oppcniheim "Because Mr Baggs Missed his Train," Mary Rinehart "What Happened to Father," Brinsley Moore is humorous in "Mrs Drake's Discoveries," "The Squircsses" is by Owen Oliver, "The Love Story of Edtwhi Biauis" by Miss Wylie, and there are others. Oassell's Magazine of Fiction and Popular Literature for December has stories and articles of especial interest. Among the latter is a lino illustrated sketch, "Forward, the Kangaroos 1" by W. R. Campbell, author of "Private Spud Ta.ni6on," brilliantly and {graphically describing tlie good work done by our 'boys at Galilipoli. This is of surpassing interest. Another article is by Madame Melba: "Two Favourite Songs, and How I Sing .Them." Besides a description of the Royal House of Sweden, by the Princess Radziwdll, illustrated, the number also carries splendid stories by some of tha best story writers, and there is also ,a long complete novel, entitled "White Haaids." . The enlarged Christmas number of' the New Magazino is a particularly good issue, for the stories and authors are of the best. There is a lomg complete novel in the number by Andrew Soutar, "The Jesters." The coloured ,il- | lustrations of the play of the month. "Shell Out," are very alluring, and the section at the end, "Woman's Kingdom," is a money-saver for all mothers. All these magazines are now oh eale in Feilding.
