The Manchester Guardian says; "New Zealand's distinct individuality, which was shown notably in handling labour arid liquor questions, is making her an emamplo to tho world. Tho result of her national register shows that her volunteers number 1 in 7 of tho population. This illustrates intense loyalty, but the response ought not to bo fully accepted by Britain, in view of New Zealand's contribution of food to Britain and the Allies.
