ELECTRICAL HEATING.
A Swedish inventor, according lo the Scientific American, has devised a most unique system of electrical beating lor houses of from four to ten rooms, and which is especially intended for localities where electric current is inexpensive. Tho system consists of two tanks, a motor-driven rotary pump, a.nd tihe necessary radiators and piping. One of the ta.nks is placed in 'the attic of the bouse, and is thermally insulated. In it are placed the heating units which, normally, are only operated at night when tilioiratos for electric eurront are low. In the morning the heating units are disconnected from tlie supply circuit and tlio motor-driven pump .started. The water Hows down the piping and through the radiators by tho force of gm.vt-.ty, and is collected in, a receiving tank in the basement, from which it is pumped out and returned to the tank in the attic. It is claimed that the cost of heating a house by this system is about six cent« per room, with a current rale of 1 per cent, pea* kw. hour.
