Cunha, with Edwards (their manager), arrived in Wellington yesterday morning and were accorded an informal civic reception by the Mayor. They appeared at the carnival in the afternoon, when there was a largo attendance. Kahanamoku wa s not in his best form, having found the continuous travelling a strain, while the water in Ihe baths yesterday was the coldest he had experienced in the Dominion. lie appeared in (lie Oftyds aud lOOvds handicaps, and won the latter from scratch in ol l-osec, with Cunha (2sec) second.
