Newspapers make a feature of the declaration by a Hungarian general that Austria cannot carry on the war beyond May, because of the shortage of food and war materials.-
Buda Pesth states that there is an appalling scarcity of cereals in Hungary. A hundred and forty restaurants have been closed owing to the scarcity of bread.
