Playground.—Several old .Ticket Pitches m the playground, for long bare of grass, have been dug up. Soil is needed to raise them to the proper evel, and then it is proposed to southern down with good grass seed I would be glad if the Committee would procure the soil and provide the seed, to have the girls' playground drained tor next winter, steps should be taken now, so that the work can be done during the Christmas holidays. Sports.-—The summer sports, cricket and tennis,, are somewhat expensive for the children, and tho Committee's help Vi providing material is asked or. Swimming will start as soon as die baths aro available, and it is hoped that the life-saving branch of the sport will be taken up with enthusiasm. Museum.--During lho mouth, Mr Mercer has presented to tho school museum a line collection of Australian birds' heads and reptiles, and sen-oral specimens of minerals. 'These gifts are gratefully received as the nucleus of our collection. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Mercer for his gifts to tho school museum.
