HUNTLY BENEFIT CONCERT.

The Lyceum was crowded last night for the sacred concert given by the management and organised by Mr Leslie Strachan in aid of the Huntly relief fund. Mayor Ongley was present. A thoroughly enjoyable concert resulted, the following being the programme *. Song, "The Toders," Mr P. W. Morphy; song, "Ora Pro Nobis," Miss Ea-rline Read; duet, Messrs A. Shelton and, N. Gifford; violin solo, "'Reverie," Mr Burrows, of Masterton; song, "Crossing the Bar," Miss O'Leary; flute solo, "The Rosary," Mr D. Fraser; song, "Ecce Homo," Mr J. F. M-acedo; song, "The Soul's Awakening," Mrs Barbour- cornet solo, '"The Broken Melody," Mr T. Hill. Mrs Morphy and Mr Strachan were the accompanists. Mr Strachan desires to thank all those who assisted to make the concert a success. The net proceeds for the fund were £13 6s.
